RESUMO

Objective:To develop serious games for pediatrics and to explore the effect of cultivating the clinical reasoning and reflection ability of pediatric trainee nurses. Methods:This was a non-randomized controlled trial study. The convenience sampling method was used to select 88 pediatric trainee nurses in the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University from April 2021 to January 2022. They were divided into the control group and the experimental group with 44 cases in each group by the method of random sampling. The control group was given clinical practice teaching in pediatrics according to the practice syllabus. Based on the teaching events of Gagne, the teaching links of serious games were designed, and teaching was carried out to the experimental group. The clinical reasoning and reflection ability, learning satisfaction and self-confidence of the two groups of pediatric trainee nurses before and after teaching were evaluated by the Self-Assessment of Clinical Reasoning and Reflection, Student Learning Satisfaction and Self-Confidence Scale, and examination scores of the two groups of pediatric trainee nurses were evaluated. Results:There was no significant difference in the clinical reasoning and reflection ability, learning satisfaction and self-confidence before teaching between the two groups( P>0.05). The total score of clinical reasoning and reflection evaluation after teaching was (101.13±6.69) points in the experimental group, which was higher than that in the control group (94.57 ± 8.86) points, the difference was statistically significant ( t=-3.92, P<0.05). The learning satisfaction and self-confidence scores after teaching were (20.82 ± 2.16), (33.20 ± 1.47) points in the experimental group, which were higher than those in the control group (19.52 ± 2.30), (31.89 ± 2.44) points, the differences were statistically significant ( t=-2.33, -3.07, both P<0.05). The scores on the theory and skill examination in the experimental group were also better than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant ( t values were -2.59--2.14, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The serious game teaching method can effectively improve the clinical reasoning and reflection ability, practical learning satisfaction, self-confidence, and graduation performance of pediatric nursing interns, which can provide a reference for the reform of pediatric nursing practice teaching.

RESUMO

Objective:To develop the Chinese version of measuring change in restriction of salt (sodium ) in diet in hypertensives(MCRSDH), and to test its reliability and validity. Methods:Authorization was obtained from the original authors of MCRSDH.Cross-cultural revision of the MCRSDH was conducted according to the guidelines from November 2020 to January 2021.Totally 700 patients with hypertension were recruited through convenience sampling from 4 community health service centers in 2 main urban districts of Changsha and investigated by the Chinese version of MCRSDH.Reliability and validity of the scale were assessed. Results:The correlation coefficient between each item and the total score ranged from 0.327-0.799 and 0.468-0.893 in MCRSDH initiation (MCRSDH-INIT)and MCRSDH sustenance(MCRSDH-SUST) respectively. The item of content validity index(I-CVI) of each item ranged from 0.802 to 1.000, and the scale of content validity index(S-CVI) was 0.914.Four factors were extracted by exploratory factor analysis(EFA)and could explain 68.511% of the total variance for MCRSDH-INIT.Three factors were extracted by EFA and could explain 76.558% of the total variance for MCRSDH-SUST.Values of factor loading ranged from 0.541 to 0.926 for MCRSDH-INIT, and from 0.586 to 0.888 for MCRSDH-SUST.The Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that χ 2/ df=1.732, GFI=0.902, CFI=0.945, RMSEA=0.046, NFI=0.931, TLI=0.936 for initiation model and χ 2/ df=1.248, GFI=0.937, CFI=0.971, RMSEA=0.018, NFI=0.943, TLI=0.937 for sustenance model. The cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.901 and the test-retest reliability was 0.917. Conclusion:The Chinese version of the MCRSDH is reliable and valid, and can be used as a tool to MCRSDH in China.

RESUMO

Objective To understand the dynamic change of professional attitude of nursing undergraduates in traditional Chinese medicine universities and the influencing factors from first-year to third-year. Methods From December 2012 to July 2015,“Scale for nurse′s professional attitude”was used to evaluate the professional attitude of full-time nursing undergraduates in two traditional Chinese medicine universities in China in every 18th teaching week of a semester (6 times). Personal information sheet, Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) were used to screen the influencing factor of professional attitude of nursing undergraduates. Results Mean scores of“Scale for nurse′s professional attitude”in 289 nursing undergraduates was higher than 4.5 and appeared an increasing trend. There were significant differences in professional attitude between first-year and third-year nursing undergraduates. The influencing factors of nursing undergraduates′professional attitude were different. In first-year, the factors were EPQ-N, birthplace, EPQ-P, household registration, parent′s marital status. In second-year, they were times of social practice, mother′s vocation, EPQ-E, EPQ-P, satisfaction on family income. In third-year, they were SSRS scores, EPQ-P, whether first choice being nurse or not. Conclusions Professional attitude of 289 nursing undergraduates is positive and appears an increasing trend. The influencing factors of nursing undergraduates′professional attitude are different and EPQ-P has constant influence on their professional attitude.
